It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 30 (or virtual channel 44 via PSIP) from a transmitter in unincorporated Plymouth County,Iowa east of James and US 75 along the Woodbury County line. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group,which also operates CBS affiliate KMEG (channel 14) through a shared services agreement with owner Waitt Broadcasting. The two outlets share studios along I-29 (postal address says Gold Circle) in Dakota Dunes,South Dakota.
