The Chilliwack Progress is British Columbia's oldest community newspaper published continuously with the same name in the same community. From its first issue in April,1891,four pages of now-yellowing newsprint that rolled off W.T. Jackman's small press that he'd set up above a farm implement shop on Main Street,the Progress now publishes two times a week.
