GMA3: What You Need To Know (often shortened as simply GMA3) is an American daytime news show broadcast by ABC. The series originally premiered on September 10,2018 as GMA Day. Hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines,it replaced The Chew on ABC's daytime lineup,and was positioned as a spin-off of ABC's national morning show Good Morning America. In late January 2019,the program was rebranded as Strahan & Sara to place a larger emphasis on its hosts. After filling in for Haines while she was on maternity leave,actress Keke Palmer joined the program as a third host in August 2019,with the program being subsequently renamed to GMA3: Strahan,Sara & Keke. On March 17,2020,the program was suspended due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States,with ABC News replacing it with Pandemic: What You Need To Know — a newscast anchored by Amy Robach to cover topics relating to the pandemic. By June,the program had expanded its scope to include other topics,and was rebranded as GMA3: What You Need To Know — with increasing implications that Strahan,Sara & Keke had been cancelled.
